My mini survAIval insight of the week

The enlightenment was an intellectual movement that took place in the 18th century. It was characterized by a focus on reason and science, individualism, and a belief in progress.

The intellectual response to this movement was: Humanism, Positivism, Impressionism, Realism, Darwinism, Romanticism, Modernism, Victorian era, etc. where the value and agency of human beings were the centre of attention.

Nowadays the focus is on efficiency, algorithms, and AI/automation.

I truly believe that the world will shift once again towards a more humanistic society, welcoming artists, philosophers, historians, and others with open arms.

There’s still hope for the future of humans!

The chart of the week

GenAI’s explosive growth is ‘cooling’ (Report by Lucidworks’ second annual Generative AI Global Benchmark study)

The report — which surveyed more than 2,500 business leaders around the world — found that only 63% plan to increase AI spending over the next year. Last year, that number was 93%.
