My mini survAIval insight of the week

I want to make a video about the progress of medicine and healthcare in the next decade. One of the main ideas I have for this video is: “You only have to stay alive for 10 more years”

Why this title, you may ask?

Medical researchers talk about the incredible potential of AI for the Health and Medical industry. It seems that our future healthcare is pointing to new personalised treatment solutions that will increase our lifespan and dare I say, immortality. Yep, I just said it.

Cancers and illnesses may be a thing of our past, but what happens if we can really live forever, and possibly without consequences?

If we have all our health and medical problems solved, will humanity take it as a green light to do whatever it wants? Who knows how humans will act if they will never have to worry about addiction, bad behaviors or curbing self-indulgence. The cure will be around the corner at our disposal, which might not be a good thing.

Maybe discipline, self-knowledge, and a bit of spiritualism is going to be the answer to a fulfilling life in these unknown times that are lurking on the horizon.

The chart of the week

Meta releases Llama 3.1 405B (+ new 8B and 70B versions).

Llama 3.1 405B is the smartest LLM ever released openly. Its benchmark scores near (and sometimes top) GPT-4o and Claude 3.5 Sonnet.

• 1st in following instructions.
